Parent Talk with PC Simon Williams - Online Safety

We were delighted to host PC Simon Williams at HSL on Thursday 16^th November to support our parental community with helping to keep children safe using the internet when outside of school. Whether it be on social media platforms, gaming or simply browsing the internet, it is crucial that children are educated both at school and home regarding the risks that children are exposed to. PC Williams' talk was informative, eye-opening and offered sensible advice with regard to monitoring a child's use of the internet. The issues discussed included:

• Social Media Apps

• Grooming and Social Media Influencers

• Cyberbullying

• Location Services/Settings

• Parental Controls

• Passwords
