RRSA - Enrichment Day
On 5th October we held our first enrichment day about "Our Rights Respecting School". During the day students explored how the school and the community help to uphold and protect children's rights. In the morning they took part in workshop sessions about the right to education and foodbanks, went on a rights quest around the school site and met visitors from a range of local organisations that support young people.
In the afternoon it was time to get competitive, with year 7s designing rights posters for around the school and year 8 making short films. Some of the winning posters are below; the film competition winners will be announced after half term.
Feedback about the day from the students was overwhelmingly positive. Mrs Cox would like to thank our visitors for joining us and helping our young people understand how their local community supports them.
