Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Success!
We were delighted to present certificates and badges to 60 of our Year 10 students in early November in recognition of their successful completion of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This represents an impressive 40% of the year group, with many more students close to completing their awards.
To achieve the Bronze Award, students were required to undertake a skill and a physical activity for either three or six months, alongside at least three months of regular volunteering. Collectively, these students have contributed more than 180 months of voluntary service over the past year, supporting a wide range of good causes in and around Leckhampton. Their commitment exemplifies our aspiration to be at the heart of the local community.
Students also demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination during their expeditions. The exceptionally hot weather in July presented a significant challenge, yet they persevered and successfully completed this demanding aspect of the award.
Congratulations to all of our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.
