Action Committee Develops Space for Teenagers at Literature Festival

In September, The High School Leckhampton was approached by the Cheltenham Literature Festival to support the development of a dedicated space for teenagers. The Action Committee played an instrumental role in establishing this space, contributing a range of resources, including book reviews, noticeboard materials, decorations and puzzles.
Below is Nola’s account of the meeting and her experience of being involved in the project.
On Wednesday 16th September the Action Committee Team joined together to discuss ideas for a teen space at The Literature Festival in Cheltenham. This was because the lady running the teen space wanted ideas from us, the children, about how to make the experience more fun and exciting. This meeting went on for around 40 minutes and we discussed a range of ideas like: a craft space to make book marks, origami and poems/writing stories, giant board games and many more ideas. The lady loved our suggestions, she wrote them down and took them all into consideration.
