Guide Dog Visit Inspires Year 7 and 8 Students

On Tuesday afternoon, students in Years 7 and 8 were visited by Elisa and her guide dog, Laurie, from the charity Guide Dogs, which our school is proudly supporting this year.

Elisa spoke to students about the life-changing difference a guide dog can make. She explained that from the age of 14, young people who are blind or partially sighted can have a guide dog, helping them build confidence and independence as they grow up. This support ensures they can access their rights just like any other young person.

The visit was both inspiring and informative, and our students left with a deeper understanding of the importance of the charity’s work. We are looking forward to raising lots of money for Guide Dogs throughout the year, starting with our non-uniform day this Friday.
