School Visits

Each student will be visited at their primary school by a HSL member of staff.

Your child will find out information about The High School Leckhampton and what a day in the life of the school looks like.

Your child will have the opportunity to ask questions about the school and what to expect when they arrive.

Parents do not need to do anything to facilitate this, as The High School Leckhampton will arrange dates directly with primary schools.

The Pastoral System

At The High School Leckhampton, we place our students into one of four houses. They are all named after local rivers and this is representative of the journey that students make during their time at the school. Like a river, they will start small, get bigger and on their journey, like a river collects water from it's surroundings, our students will collect knowledge and skills as they pass through the school.

Each student wears a tie that is the colour of their house. Details of which house students have been assigned to will follow in the summer prior to entry, so please do not purchase a tie before this information is given to you.

How to prepare for Year 7

Organisation is an important part of secondary school. Try to use the summer term to help your child get used to getting their own uniform ready and packing their pencil case and bag the night before.

We want our students to start at HSL eager to learn so have a lovely summer staying active and getting outside in the fresh air as much as possible.
