Eco-Committee represent HSL at Leckhampton Hill award ceremony

On Thursday 4th June, Leckhampton Hill and Charlton Kings Common were awarded National Nature Reserve status in a special ceremony that took place at the top of Leckhampton Hill.
Following the conservation work that HSL carries out annually on Leckhampton Hill, Miss Kennedy, Ms Agombar and Joe, Daniel and Raffy from the Eco-Committee were invited to attend the ceremony alongside representatives from The Friends of Leckhampton Hill (FOLK), Natural England, Cotswold National Landscape and Butterfly Conservation Gloucestershire.
Furthermore, Raffy, Joe and Daniel were involved in leading part of a guided walk that took place after the official ceremony to five sites of interest around the hill. All three students were described by a guest from Natural England as "amazing - confident, articulate, knowledgeable and a delight to engage with!"
Here is a photo from the event showing the HSL delegation around the official plaque alongside Wayne Sedgwick (CBC Ranger) and Martin Horwood (Mayor of Cheltenham).
